Biography
Charles Nusser was the New Jersey Communist Party secretary arrested in early 1951 under a 1918 state anti-subversive statute for handing out leaflets urging negotiation to end the Korean War. His bail was set at $30,000, then reduced to $1,500, and he was re-arrested in the campaign against the leafleting.
The page 3 June 30 Carnegie report confirms the thirty-day sentence for leaflet distribution protesting the Young Worker school ban and announces an ILD appeal.
