Charles F. Zademack was from Cleveland, Ohio. Charles F. Zademack was sentenced to five years, which was commuted to eighteen months in prison. He served in Atlanta Penitentiary from August 9, 1918, to October 27, 1919.
The presidential-clemency table in the 1921 Senate amnesty hearings records a sentence imposed August 10, 1918: Five years at Atlanta. Commuted April 22, 1919 to eighteen months. A pardon, commutation, nominal expiration or parole eligibility is not itself evidence of the day of physical release; the imposed or reduced term is not a measured time served.
