Biography

Cecily Jones was individually named among six anti-nuclear demonstrators who tied a “Stop Military Madness” banner to the Martin Marietta plant sign southwest of Denver on May 2, 1986. On December 9 Judge Linda Palmeri sent the defendants to jail; the two nuns rejected different treatment and were jailed with the others. The December 12 report says all six were then actually serving their terms in Jefferson County Jail. The five-day imposed term and expected December 14 release are not proof of five actual days completed or physical discharge that day. December 9 is supported as actual admission; the May 2 action date alone is not assigned as a jail-admission or arrest date.
