Biography
Bradley Neil Crowder, age 23, was one of two Austin Affinity Group members caught making Molotov cocktails before the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minneapolis. They had planned to light the cocktails in tunnels near the event venue to cause a power failure. Pleaded guilty to possession of a destructive device; 24 months federal prison plus 36 months supervised release.
The CRASS arrestee-support booklet individually names the three RNC federal defendants and describes support after transfer from local custody to separate prisons. Printed page 54 (PDF page 48) discusses DePalma’s early plea and difficulties coordinating the Texas Two cases. It supplies no new precise individual admission, final discharge or complete duration. Existing cases are retained; transfer and a support committee are not new arrests. The Star Tribune report republished in 4strugglemag identifies U.S. Chief Judge Michael J. Davis as imposing Crowder’s two-year prison term followed by three years supervised release. It reports Crowder’s guilty plea in January 2009. Its undated Thursday sentencing reference is not converted into an exact day, and the separate scheduled May 21 McKay hearing is not assigned to Crowder.
