Biography
Boris Sklar was editor of the Russian-language newspaper Russky Golos. Immigration authorities arrested him for deportation as an alleged Communist and held him without bail on Ellis Island. A January 1954 report confirms that he remained detained, but the reviewed record does not yet establish the dates when the detention began or ended.
