Biography
Blanche Almeda was individually named among four Potomska Mill pickets arrested in New Bedford on the morning of August 23, 1928. The August 24 Daily Worker says police had twice driven the pickets away before arresting them when they returned. The accusations were disturbing the peace and loitering; no individual conviction, release or complete custody duration is given. The report gives her age as sixteen. The printed surname Almeda is retained. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1928/1928-nat/v05-n201-NAT-aug-24-1928-DW-LOC.pdf#page=1
