Biography
Bill Meeks was one of eight NMU miners arrested at Arjay Saturday, June 25, 1932 under an old federal injunction against entering company property. The newspaper attributes the arrests to Communist election organizing and denies the alleged entry. Federal trial in Lexington the following week remained prospective.
