Biography

Bart Dudek was an IWW strike supporter imprisoned in the Ohio Penitentiary at Columbus. The December 1937 appeal says police stopped and searched his car while he was driving women pickets to the National Screw and Manufacturing Company strike in Cleveland and found a revolver he carried after attacks by strikebreakers. It describes the coming Christmas as his fourth in prison, which is a duration observation, not a precise arrest year or completed term. The source supplies no statutory charge, imposed term, exact admission, physical release or final disposition. Source: https://files.libcom.org/files/OBUMdecember1937.pdf#page=18

The National Screw strike account individually identifies Dudek as convicted after carrying a revolver in his car while escorting his fiancée. It supplies no statutory charge, imposed sentence, admission or physical discharge; no term is inferred from aggregate strike arrests.
