Biography

Antonio Anglero was a Mayaguez, Puerto Rico strike activist arrested after militant strikers stopped unloading of the ship Amelia Lykes. The Daily Worker of March 2, 1935, page 3, individually names him among four arrested strikers held after failing to produce $1,000 bonds. The report concerns the sugar and waterfront strike movement and colonial police repression. It does not give an exact arrest date, formal charge, custody institution or final outcome.
