Amin Hasanzadeh

Amin Hasanzadeh, also spelled Amin Hassanzadeh, is an Iranian electrical engineer born in Iran in July 1977. He became a U.S. lawful permanent resident and worked in university research and private industry. Federal agents arrested him on November 6, 2019 on allegations that he stole confidential technical information from a Michigan employer and sent it to his brother in Iran, and that he had concealed prior Iranian military service on U.S. immigration forms. A December 2020 indictment charged conspiracy to export technology to Iran and seven substantive export counts. President Joe Biden granted Hasanzadeh a conditional full pardon on September 14, 2023. On September 25, 2023, the federal court dismissed the indictment without prejudice.
