Biography

Alice Moser was a young speaker with the National Hunger March’s New Orleans column. Birmingham police arrested her while she tried to address several thousand Black and white workers welcoming the march at the courthouse steps on November28, 1932. The November29 dispatch says she remained jailed, while local workers and liberals sought her release. Two unnamed Black onlookers were also arrested. Her individual charges, release and complete custody duration are unknown. Source: https://marxists.architexturez.net/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1932/v09-n286-NY-nov-30-1932-DW-LOC.pdf#page=3
