Biography
Marshall identifies Harris as a Lancaster lawyer arrested while visiting York, Pennsylvania on February 2, 1863 after an argument about the war. Harris was held at the military camp while a habeas corpus writ was sought. The account says he was brought before Judge Fisher the following day and discharged when no lawful basis for detention was shown. Source: John A.
