Biography
Albert Hedar was one of nine Newark workers prosecuted after police raided unemployment meetings on February 4 and 11, 1930. The state indicted them under New Jersey's 1918 sedition law, relying on police accounts of statements at the meetings. The International Labor Defense organized their defense. Hedar was among the six defendants still awaiting trial after three others were sentenced in June.
