Biography
Albert Faulkner was one of five members of a Cincinnati unemployed-workers’ relief delegation arrested on October 25, 1934. The Daily Worker, October 31, 1934, page 3 describes an armed attack on the delegation at the Welfare Department and the subsequent police arrests. It reports a assault and battery charge and collective bail of $1,300, raised the next day, with trial planned for the coming Friday. Raising bail does not establish the day of physical release; no final verdict or exact served duration is supplied. The same account first calls the threatened delegate Arthur Faulkner and later lists the arrested man as Albert Faulkner. That given-name discrepancy is retained; no second profile is created from it.
