Abeeku Osei Vassall
Biography
Abeeku Osei Vassall was arrested in Cartersville, Georgia, on April 28, 2023 with Julia Dupuis and Caroline “Charley” Tennenbaum after activists placed flyers on neighborhood mailboxes identifying a Georgia State Patrol trooper involved in the killing of Stop Cop City activist Manuel “Tortuguita” Paez Terán. Authorities charged all three with misdemeanor stalking and felony intimidation of a state officer. Vassall spent the first four nights in solitary confinement at Bartow County Jail. A judge set a $20,000 bond at a May 15 hearing, and supporters covered it. Georgia later included Vassall in its 61-person Stop Cop City racketeering indictment; a Fulton County judge dismissed that RICO charge on December 30, 2025. The cited ruling did not dispose of the separately filed Bartow County flyer charges.
